We’re excited to announce a number of major improvements to recreational areas across JBER. All of these improvements will be completed this summer!
EXPANDED ROCKET SHIP PARK
We’re adding an additional outer space themed play area for kids ages 2-12 to the Rocket Ship Park across from our office at 338 Hoonah Avenue. This park expansion will feature state of the art turf style unitary surfacing in lieu of wood chips or gravel.
DENALI, DAYTON, AND DENVER AIR FORCE PARK
A new Air Force themed park will be landing in the Denali Neighborhood later this summer. This park will feature state of the art turf style unitary surfacing in lieu of wood chips or gravel.
SUNFLOWER DISC GOLF
New to JBER’s housing areas, this 9 hole Disc Golf course will weave throughout the Dallas and Sunflower neighborhoods.
PLAYGROUND DEMOLITION
As we continue to upgrade and enhance existing playgrounds, we also work to remove out-dated playgrounds. This decision is not made lightly, and is part of our long term recreational area development plan.
