Aurora Military Housing supplements the normal trash and recycling service pickup, with a complimentary bulky item pickup service. This service is provided by 1-800-GOT-JUNK and is available at no cost to all residents twice every 12 month period.
What can be disposed of?
Most items that are too large to place in a roll cart can be disposed of.

*Items classified as hazardous are governed by federal, state, and local disposal requirements. Disposing of these items via this service may incur a disposal fee. This is just the cost of disposing the item; the pickup and transport is covered at 100% by Aurora Military housing.
How does it all work?
1-800-GOT-JUNK usually schedules out about two weeks. Please plan pickups in advance, we are unable to accommodate urgent pickups.
- Provide our office with a list of items to be picked up, either online or by calling (907) 753 1091
- Upon receiving contact from 1 800 GOT JUNK, schedule a pickup date and place items to be picked up in your garage.
- Any charges for hazardous waste disposal will be added to your Aurora Military Housing ledger.
