Snow Event (1 January)

PLOWS HAVE BEEN DISPATCHED

Our snow contractor will be making their way through the neighborhoods on 1 January (Wednesday). Be sure to remove cars from the roads when possible, as this will enable quicker, more thorough plowing. They will be focusing on opening all roads on this date, and will likely not use the blower as there are many cars on the road due to the holiday. Blowing and removal of the snow will take place the following day; be sure to remove cars from the roads when possible, as this will enable quicker, more thorough plowing.

Our expectation is 72 hours to remove all snow from residential roads. Factors such as number of vehicles on the roads, current weather conditions, and total accumulation can increase or decrease this time. That being said, our contractor’s goal is always to remove all snow within 48 hours (2 days) of snowfall cessation.

UPDATE 2 JANUARY

Snow removal is completed in all JBER-E neighborhoods (with the exception of Moose Crossing). Snow removal is completed in some JBER-R neighborhoods. Our contractor is optimistic that all residential road snow removal will be completed by COB 1/3. Sanding is also taking place as roads are being cleared.

Exercise Caution

Please be extra cautious when driving through the neighborhoods. Keep your distance from other vehicles and be mindful of children out playing and neighbors out shoveling.
