WHY THIS INFRASTRUCTURE WORK IS IMPORTANT
PRESENT DAY
We are launching a driveway expansion project in the Silver Run neighborhood beginning Summer 2025. This project is aimed at evaluating a solution to improve parking and traffic flow in the area by expanding existing driveways where possible.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This summer, we will focus on a select number of buildings to evaluate the expansion process. Upon completing this initial phase, we will assess the outcomes and determine the potential scope for the remainder of the project, which may extend beyond the first year depending on the findings and evaluations.
AREAS OF CONCERN
Silver Run’s current layout includes narrower roads and limited driveway space, which has created ongoing challenges with parking and accessibility.
During this round of the project, certain buildings will have their entire driveway redone, the contractor will evaluate if the entire driveway needs to be completely redone. The expansion will happen as they replace the driveway. Other buildings will only need the expansion portion.
TIMELINE
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
Each building will take up to 10 business days to complete, weather dependent.
Day 1-2: Demolition and excavation of the grass.
Day 3-4: Site preparation, bringing in gravel, compacting the gravel with hot asphalt, and steamrolling to flatten.
Day 5-6: Applying the asphalt.
Day 7-13: Allowing the asphalt to cool and harden.
You will receive a flyer approximately 4 days prior to commencement of the job.
EXTERIOR OF HOME
Contractors will be performing work on your driveway. For this reason, access to your driveway and front yard will be required.
Additionally, the contractor will be using dump trucks, skid steers, excavators, and steam rollers, which will result in excess noise.
IN HOME
Entry to homes will not be required during this project.
IN NEIGHBORHOOD
- Various machinery and equipment will be present in the neighborhood.
SCHEDULE
Prior to work commencing on your home, you will receive a flyer with a definitive start date.
