Trash and Recycling Pickup
Alaska Waste has informed us that trash pickup is suspended through 8 December 2022. The tentative schedule for JBER trash pickup follows:
- 8 December (Thursday) JBER-R Trash pickup suspended
- 14 December (Wednesday) JBER-R residents should leave full roll carts, as well as up to three (3) additional fully contained/closed bags of garbage at the curb
- 9 December (Friday) JBER-E Trash pickup applies, tentatively (road-condition dependent)
Plows Are Being Dispatched
Our snow removal contractor is removing snow as expeditiously as possible. Due to the immense amount of snow accumulation, we expect to make it through all of JBER streets no later than Friday, 9 December 2022. Please be sure to remove cars from the roads when possible, as this will enable quicker, more thorough plowing.
Exercise Caution
Please stay off roads unless you have emergent business to conduct. This will allow for the most safe and effective snow removal on your street.
Deployed Spouse Benefits
If you qualify for our Deployed Spouse Program, you are eligible to receive complimentary driveway snow removal. Driveways and sidewalks will be maintained after we are able to clear the neighborhood streets and sidewalks.
Emergency Maintenance Available
We will continue to complete urgent and emergency work during this period but are deferring routine or less-urgent work for a later date. As always, please call 907.753.1091 if you are experiencing a maintenance emergency.
